The small international airport of Lanzarote is never far in distance so you will not have to be concerned about a boring, tedious hotel transfer at the beginning and end of your journey.

The biggest holiday resort on Lanzarote is Playa Blanca, with Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise not far behind, plus there are loads more smaller and quieter towns all over the island. If you are wanting a livelier vacation, you would certainly be better off residing in one of the main resorts, as they will have loads more entertainment choices than you could possibly need or want, including dance clubs and discos for the younger or older generation.
